Road vehicles complement your trains. They have far lower capacity for cargo, however.

Passenger Vehicles Icon passengers.png

Passenger transportation is the main source of Money Tokens Token money.png in this game. Passenger vehicles are used to transport Passengers Icon passengers.png between towns. Passengers Icon passengers.png arriving at a town will also increase the town size. Also, if you have enabled Passenger Destination, the people will automatically transfer between buses and trains. That way you can increase the amount of people at train station, bringing them from the far away parts of town.
