Road vehicles complement your trains. They have far lower capacity for cargo, however.

Passenger vehicles are used to transport Passengers between towns. Also, if you have enabled Passenger Destination, the people will automatically transfer between buses and trains. That way you can increase the amount of people at train station, bringing them from the far away parts of town.

Mail Vehicles

Another way of generating Money Tokens in the game is to deliver Mail between Post Offices. These buildings appear in the Steam Era and they show up in all towns on the map. Mail works in a similar manner to passengers , including Passenger Destination. Delivering mail also contributes to the town growth.

Logging trucks

Logging trucks are used to carry Logs from Forests to the Sawmills.

Timber Vehicles

Timber vehicles take the Timber produced by the Sawmill and either transport them to the Toolworks to be converted into Timber Tokens or to Coal and Iron Ore Mine to increase their productivity.

Coal Vehicles

Coal vehicles are used to transport Coal from Coal Mines and Forests with Charcoal Oven extensions. The Coal is then taken to Foundries for making Iron , Toolworks for converting to Coal Tokens or to Sawmills to increase productivity.
