Steelworks Default.png

The Steelworks is a heavy duty industry that produces Steel Icon steel.png using high temperatures generated by Coal Icon coal.png or Diesel Icon diesel.png, and combining Iron Icon iron.png from Foundry with Sand Icon sand.png from Sand Quarry.

Processes

The basic Steelworks requires 1 Sand Icon sand.png, 2 Coal Icon coal.png and 4 Iron Icon iron.png to generate 2 Steel Icon steel.png per Game tick. There are 3 extensions that can improve the production further or use Diesel Icon diesel.png as fuel instead of Coal Icon coal.png. Fully upgraded Steelworks will produce 10 units of Steel Icon steel.png, using up 2 Diesel Icon diesel.png, 7 Coal Icon coal.png, 20 Iron ingots Icon iron.png and 4 units of Sand Icon sand.png in the process each Game tick.
Some of the buildings can be connected to the electrical network E energy.png from Era 5 onward, which will further increase their production. The amount of electrification production bonus (if applicable) is shown in the brackets at each building.
