The Factory building converts specific resources to Goods , Diesel Tokens or Steel Tokens . The base Factory always consumes a fixed number of resources per Game tick: 3 Diesel , 3 Timber and 3 Steel . Each conversion is a separate process, therefore it can produce a single type of Token or both types simultaneously. The Factory is an Era III building, therefore when transitioning from the Steam Era to the Early Diesel Era several Factories will appear in random locations across the map.
Processes
The base unit of the Factory has three processes:
The first process consumes 3 Diesel and produces 1 Goods and 3 Diesel Tokens every Game tick.
The second process consumes 3 Timber and produces 1 Goods every Game tick.
The third process consumes 3 Steel and produces 1 Goods and 2 Steel Tokens every Game tick.
There are three building extensions, two improve the Diesel processing generating more Diesel Tokens , the third one improves the Steel processing generating more Steel Tokens . All of them are increasing the Goods production.
Fully upgraded factory produces 6 Goods , 6.5 Diesel Tokens and 4 Steel Tokens every Game tick consuming 3 Timber , 7.5 units of Diesel and 5 Steel in the process.
Some of the buildings can be connected to the electrical network from Era 5 onward, which will further increase their production. The amount of electrification production bonus (if applicable) is shown in the brackets at each building.
