The capacity of the wells can be extended using 2 extension buildings that can be built on tiles adjacent to the base Oil Wells. Both of the extensions provide an increase to the Crude Oil crude oil [[File:icon oil.png|16px|link=material]] output. The Secondary production can be increased using 3 additional Oil Wells , which unlock sequentially as you progress throughout the game. Each provide 1 additional Crude Oil [[File:icon oil.png|16px|link=material]] every second '''[[Game tick]]'''. Futhermore, you can build ''The Desalination Plant '', which provides 3 additional Crude Oil [[File:icon oil.png|16px|link=material]] every second two '''[[Game tick]]s'''.
